慶應義塾来年度の授業料を値上げ

平成17年度から慶應義塾の授業料が値上げされるというニュース。それによってSFCの3学部は2万円引き上げられ、年間890,000円となるようだ。

慶應義塾は、平成17年度の授業料値上げを行う。総合政策学部、環境情報学部、看護医療学部は、それぞれ2万円引き上げられ、年間890,000円となる。その他の入学金等については、据え置かれる。

これは大きな出来事だ。理工学部や医学部には届かないものの、他の文系学部よりもほど高い学費であるにもかかわらず、さらに高い学費を納めなければならないとは。
少なくとも僕が入学した当初は年間860,000円だった。ということはこれまでにも授業料が10,000円値上げされていたことになる。これまで気づかなかったことは自分にも落ち度があるが、学生にとって重要な情報であるにも関わらず十分なアナウンスがされていなかったのはどういうことだろうか。反発を恐れ、目立たぬように値上げしていたと考えられてもおかしいことではない。

慶應義塾では学則により、授業料、施設設備費、実験実習費、学習指導資料費を、前年度の金額にスライド指標を考慮した上で算出する。スライド率は、前年度人事院勧告による国家公務員給与のアップ率等が考慮されている。

つまり学則で決められている以上、値上げも仕方がないということだろうか。ただ、そういうことであるならば、値下げもありうるということだ。ここ数年は値下げに相当する動きがなかったのか。
しかし、このような話は何もしなければコントロールする側にとって都合の良いように進んでいく。これだけは阻止しなければならない。
親が払ってくれるからどうでもいいなんて、思ってはいけないことだ。
